Justice for a young man unfairly suspended while at home on a virtual class
The suspension for this young man should be completely removed and expunged from his record. He's only a boy and should not be held to the same legal standard as an adult. Furthermore, the punishment is egregious and will likely follow him his entire life unless it is removed. A Needed Change to Education: Add Think and Grow Rich to High School Curriculum
High schools in the American Education system highly focus on building specialized skills that will be needed for the life of most students; However, very few schools require or even teach basic life improvement and management. The first in a long line of fixes for the American education system is a simple one: Add the book Think and Grow Rich to the curriculum. Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill is a life skills book focused around first and foremost the idea that one can Think and Grow Rich. The book breaks down into 13 steps to obtaining riches which explain the methods used by some of the greatest men in the 20th century to obtain their fortunes. It at a basic level teaches motivating one self, goal setting, confidence improvement, building the brand of one self, obtaining knowledge, using the imagination, networking, planning, persisting, and control of the mind. The Thirteen points towards achieving riches simplified from the book are: Desire: The first step in creating a state of mind able to obtain wealth and be successful is the desire to do so, This first step of creating the desire creates the foundation for all other steps. Faith: Faith in one self, the infinite intelligence, and the ability to do anything is the second step towards wealth and self improvement. Faith is one off the basic positive human emotions, and control over one's faith and development of it towards the creation of riches or the achievement of a goal is the second major step. Auto-Suggestion: Also described as self-suggestion. The perceived way things are, and molding your own perception to be more optimistic and develop the previous 2 steps further within your own mind. This leads to a more successful and happier life. Specialized Knowledge: At the most basic level knowledge sells. To succeed one must have access to knowledge especially pertinent to the goal one is trying to succeed in. The second key concept of knowledge is the ability to sell said knowledge. A degree in anything is useless if one does not know how to then turn that degree into profit. Imagination: The ability to perceive the world in different ways and come up with new ideas. The basic form of imagination as described by the book is the combining of other thoughts into new ones, a starting point for goals and wealth. The more complex imagination is the truly creative kind where a entirely new idea is born from the void. Both of these are important in success and through the previous steps above the mind will work to build its imagination itself. Organized Planning: This point and chapter in the book is one of the longest and most fruitful. Its main concept of course is planning, the importance of it, and the importance of seeking a group of specialists, being able to work with them, and using them to develop said plan. The main subpoint of this chapter involves the ability to sell oneself. From the creation of Resume's, to the building of leadership skills, and the importance of character. This chapter goes over most highly sought after attributes of a successful person as taught even in todays world. The second subpoint of this chapter involves the 30 greatest barriers to success and their solutions. Decision: Decision is the opposite of Procrastination. The success and failure of a person can often depend on whether or not they can make a decision quickly or procrastinate to great extent. Persistence: The power of will, a concept brought up a few times throughout the book is the center point of persistence. The ability to carry on through failure, to continue working towards a goal, to not give up. Persistence with the Desire to obtain money or a goal will create a mixture that has historically created much success. Power of the Master Mind: To achieve a goal a person must have some degree of power, or as this chapter describes it, "Organized and intelligently directed knowledge.". The basic concept of this chapter and point is that knowledge is key to achieving money or a goal. One person in their life can only gain so much knowledge through imagination, learning, and experience; therefore, the solution to this dilemma is the creation of the 'Master Mind'. Networking with others, in other fields, combining your knowledge and their knowledge harmoniously. These are keys to success. The more people you can accumulate into your 'Master Mind' the more knowledge and hence more power you will have towards creating money or achieving goals. The Mystery of Sex Transmutation: The ability to switch thoughts of physical expression to thoughts of some other nature. The ability to both harness this and faith create the ability to turn 2 of the positive emotions of a person into results of success. The difficulty of using this desire to be transmitted into expression outside physical action takes a great deal of willpower but grants a great deal of reward. The Subconscious Mind: The training of the subconscious and its affects on the ability to achieve a goal or wealth is paramount in life. The chapters on Desire, Faith, and Auto-Suggestion all focus on the manipulation of the subconscious to better succeed in life. The Brain: This chapter and point delves deep into the at-the-time understanding of the brain and its ability to translate emotions into thought and power imagination. The firing of neurons at increased rate and the use of auto-suggestion, faith, desire, and influencing your own brain to work towards a goal is the end goal of all steps taught in this book to turn any person into a success in their goals, jobs, and life. The Sixth Sense: Through the development and following of all 12 previous steps, one will develop the 6th sense, the creative imagination, the force in which ideas come naturally to one. The understanding of this sense can only come from within. Some of these sound familiar? They should! Parts are often taught in one place or another, through other writings and classes already in place, but none of these concepts are as eloquently connected as they are in Think and Grow Rich. The importance of teaching this book in school combines all of the most important concepts of success and development into one text, relates each one to each other, and develops a way for any willing person to follow the author's teachings and achieve one's goals. Bring Back Le Moyne’s M-Tax Program!
Le Moyne College’s Madden School of Business has cut the Master’s in Tax program with claims of low enrollment. Many Accounting students at the college chose Le Moyne specifically because of this program and the success of it. A large number of current Junior and Seniors have been planning to apply to this program since they entered as Freshman. The abrupt cancellation of the program has put students pursuing tax in a hard situation with very few favorable choices. Le Moyne no longer has 150-hour dual degree MBA programs and the only other choice for Accounting majors is a Master’s in Information Systems. For those who want to enter the Accounting world with sufficient knowledge of taxation, the remaining options will not suffice. There has been talk of a general Master’s in Accounting program being established, but it will not be ready for current Juniors and Seniors to take advantage of the program. We ask for your support in making it known to Le Moyne that there ARE students who want to pursue the M-Tax Program and that they cut the program before giving us the chance to express our interest. The college can keep the M-Tax program going and/or find a way to make the Master’s in Accounting available to start in the Fall of 2021.

Dancing on Campus
As off campus students and dancers of the Saint Mary’s Dance Company we are requesting access to on campus facilities/dance studios. In order to gain access to the studios, we will follow the same guidelines and protocols that the athletic department sets in place for their off-campus athletes that allows them to come onto campus for their practices, training, and games. 1. Students only living within the city limits of Moraga will be allowed on campus.2. We will get COVID tests provided by the school every other week.3. We will take our temperatures each day.4. We will only come on to campus during our scheduled classes and rehearsal times.5. We will only come into contact with our roommates when we are off campus. (same rule that is set upon off-campus athletes)6. We will only take classes on campus with other off campus dancers.7. We will sign in and out of campus to make sure that we are only within school parameters during our designated rehearsal and class times.8. We will park and train in the same spaces each day to ensure that we are staying safe and away from on-campus students.9. Boycott online school.
Students already have enough on their hands with online school, let alone having sports or family issues. Why have students be on a screen for 6+ hours just by joining their classes and then they have homework to do after. If you’re a athlete you have to go to sit in front of a screen for 6 hours and then go to practice and then you have to do your homework after. We don’t need students doing homework until 8 pm. GCS wants to take the Wednesday conference days out which is a way for most students to complete their work from Monday or Tuesday that they didn’t complete or didn’t have time to do. Superintendent Sharon Contreras we need change for not just the students, but for the teachers as well. WE ARE THE CHANGE!

INCLUDE ALL Utah K-12 Teachers and Staff in Stipend UNCONDITIONALLY
PLEASE sign this petition to compel the Utah Legislature when they meet in January to REMOVE the exception that prevents Salt Lake School District K-12 teachers and staff from receiving the offered stipend offered to all other teachers and staff in the state. ALL K-12 teachers and staff should receive this stipend, UNCONDITIONALLY! The Utah Legislature Executive Appropriations Committee voted on December 16th to recommend the Utah Legislature appropriate $121 Million for a one-time K-12 educator assistance stipend: $1,500 for teachers and $1,000 for school staff... With ONE GLARING exception. They excluded the Salt Lake School District Regardless of whether teachers and staff have been teaching in person, online, or both, ALL teachers and staff give way more effort than they are ever paid for. You CANNOT exclude one district from the state just because they are online only. If you are going to give assistance, give it to ALL teachers and staff. The purpose of this petition is show show support for ALL Utah K-12 teachers and staff and show the Utah Legislature that there is community support to remove the exception.
